Acoustic Modeling
The objective of this Phase II STTR is the development of the R-SNAP time series simulation capability (up to 5 kHz) for both discrete clutter and diffuse reverberation in a littoral environment.
R-SNAP time series simulation has been demonstrated against measured reverberation data in a littoral site (roughly 100-150 meters) in the Straits of Sicily. Transition of R-SNAP to a active sonar system design program is being targeted for FY 07.
